Release Notes for Zim 9.50

  • Activate TabControl events: TabControls and TabPages now accept events;
  • Adjust $CopyToClient: fixed an error while copying large files;
  • Adjust timestamp limits: Timestamps now accept infinite values;
  • Append the build number to the $ZimVersion: The $ZimVersion is no longer a numeric value but displays the Zim version and Build number in the format ” 9.50.XXXX” where XXXX is the corresponding build number;
  • Introduced the recall command feature in ZimPrompt for Linux;
  • Raise a more specific error message when ZimServer detects a configuration error;
  • Close all SET INPUT/OUTPUT files at the end of the ZimQTC and ZimPrompt sessions;
  • Correct the FORM SET command in ZimQTC to enhance differences from a Form and a Window;
  • Fix the SLEEP time when the corresponding expression is an integer with decimals;
  • Fine tune the pixel coordinates when opening a window;
  • The SET OUTPUT FORMAT JSON and JSONSIMPLE now display numeric values without quotes;
  • Implement the zimsvlog.zim rotation files to avoid disk space violation: together with the ZimServer configuration option “Maximum Log Size”, ZimServer writes log files up to this limit and then rotates the logs until there are three log files. From this point on, the fourth log file is automatically erased;
  • Introduce the option RGB in the FORM SET command to provide a RGB color to Zim objects like this syntax: form set (fillcolor rgb $rgb(20,40,60)) fAddEmp.EmpNum;

  • Implement SET PIXELS ON/OFF: This option turns object coordingates in PIXELS or the legacy TWIPS. By default, they are all PIXELS in all commands that use coordinates;
  • Implement SET SCALING ON/OFF: This option allows forms to automatically be displayed enlarged or reduced in size without the need for a form redefition;

  • Implement the $RGB function.
